Major U.S. Military Supplier Hacked

Lockheed Martin, a leading U.S. defense contractor and arms supplier to Ukraine, has reportedly been targeted by a Russian hacker group. The attack, allegedly carried out by the group “EvilWeb,” comes after reports that the U.S. may ease restrictions on Ukraine’s use of American-made weapons. Hackers claimed to have obtained a list of employee numbers and emails, as well as taking down part of Lockheed Martin’s authorization system. The Russian Telegram channel Baza shared this information, but with censored employee details. Lockheed Martin responded, saying they are aware of the situation and confident in their strong cybersecurity measures. This attack is believed to be related to the company’s production of long-range missile systems, which have played a significant role in Ukraine’s defense since Russia’s full-scale invasion.
