🚨 $2.5M Bounty Issued for Belarusian Malware Developer by the U.S. State Department 🚨

The U.S. Department of State has announced a $2.5 million reward for information leading to the capture of Volodymyr Kadariya, also known as Vladimir Kadaria. This 38-year-old Belarusian malware developer is wanted for his role in the creation and distribution of the notorious Angler exploit kit (AEK).

Kadariya is accused of collaborating with Maksim Silnikau, aka “JP Morgan,” in running a major cybercrime operation for over a decade. The AEK was a primary tool used to deliver malware and ransomware to millions of unsuspecting internet users, leading to significant financial losses.

These cybercriminals allegedly profited tens of millions of dollars through ransomware strains like Reveton and Ransom Cartel, even pioneering the ransomware-as-a-service (RaaS) model, which allows other criminals to use their malware.

If apprehended, Kadariya could face up to 77 years in prison for various charges, including conspiracy to commit wire fraud and computer fraud.

Despite the challenges in bringing Russian and Belarusian cybercriminals to justice due to current geopolitical tensions, the recent arrest of Silnikau in Spain shows that they aren’t entirely beyond reach.

Stay vigilant and report any information that could lead to Kadariya’s capture! 💻⚖️ #CyberCrime #JusticeServed #USStateDepartment
